Hi
I have an small annoyance with my F&P Elba washing machine(WA55TA) which I have been putting up with since new(4.5yrs).

As anyone with one of these will realise it is a model with the full electronic deck and not the old type timer and pull models.

What I would like to do is change the standard powerup settings.  i.e. when I power it on it automatically defaults to "Warm" cycle with a "Med" sized load.  I want it to power on to the "Cold" cycle and "Full" sized load.

I have search if here and with Sir Google and have not been able to find anything to changed the default which was surprising when I could find interesting Easter Eggs such as getting it to play the national anthem and other songs.

Is there any Fisher and Paykeller's out there that can help me defeat this very minor pain of changing the default settings.

Thanks
Patrick

I got an older F&P Intuitive Eco (purchased in 2002). This has a digital display and a menu. You can save choices like water temp via this display.

Does your one not have this feature?

The Elba is a pretty basic model.  I do not have a screen with a menu to save setting.  Just LED's for each function.  See the pic below

The Eco and the Elba (they are essentially the same, Elba was just a new name for the product with a slightly differently styled panel as best I can remember) can be programmed for a few things such as how "Warm" the warm wash is.

However, neither, as far as I know can be programmed so that they turn on with a different default cycle i.e. they always power up to "Med", "Warm", etc. as you have found.
