Not mine. Someone had a wee accident so there was a hole in the rear bumper that you could just put a pencil thru it. They weren't familiar with the insurance so they paid the $300 excess and was told after asking that the total bill was four hundred odd dollars. If we shopped around maybe we didn't need the insurance ... to pay for our car at least. Well it was us at fault so our insurance company had to pay for their car, automatically does that mean our car has to be insurance paid as well? But anyway, is a $4xx job excessive you think? We thought initially the hole was so small that the bumper didn't need to be dismantled but they did repaired it, spray painted and fit together. The paper said 1hr for dismantle, 1hr 15 repair and 2hr 15 for painting.
Did they had to dismantle it ... or was that job made larger than required, I don't think so right b/c the insurance assessors would know otherwise. If a little job, they could have just fixed it quickly we paid it all if it was less than the excess, no insurance for ours and insurance for the other car only. They wouldn't take all the exces sand try to recoup right..
Cheers
