What are the best places for computer books in Auckland?

Borders and Dymocks are long gone.

So I think that leaves just Whitcoulls in Queen St and Tech Books in Newmarket.

Are there any others worth visiting?

Then why would you want to go to a book store in Auckland :) You are already in the right place for computer books IMO. They get out of date too quickly, and you will pay more in a shop here than on Amazon even once you count shipping. Especially with exchange rates they way they are.

Why? The experience of browsing through recent and bestselling titles. In a physical store preview is not limited by number of pages. Then if you want it now you have it in your hands to take away.

Unfortunately you won't find recent computer titles in the stores here, unless something is really "hot right now". But in that case Tech Books is your best bet. Library might be worth a shot, too:

Here in Welly they are gone too, I just use Book Depository, free intl delivery and half price many of them. I have bought textbooks, adobe books and travel guides. Just bought one earlier today ...

Well, that's enough already with the online suggestions.

P.s - Borders used to be really quite good. IIRC they would often airfreight one or two new titles for stock before the seafreight arrived.
