Hi there. I am wanting to relive a part of my childhood for some unknown reason, and want to buy some Dragon Ball Z/Pokémon/Yugioh (maybe) trading cards. Im not entirely sure why, its probably just a phase I am going through.

I have had a quick look online and really cannot anything. There is the ones for sale on Trade Me/Mightyape etc but they are the newer ones, what I am after is the first edition booster packs/decks.

Does anybody have any idea? I am pretty sure these don't get made anymore so maybe I will have to forget about buying the older ones and just buy the newer versions to satisfy my cravings.

Living in Wellington I know there was a shop I went to when I was younger and it was called Pulsar. You could go there buy/sell/swap cards if my memory serves me right. Had a quick look online and they don't have a website

Cheers guys for the help :)

Pulsar are still around, they are called Pulsar Max now:
https://plus.google.com/115515925828382009481/about?gl=nz&hl=en

However they tend not to have the 'proper' (ie old) cards any more.  There are still some booster boxes available on ebay in the states, but can be expensive to ship.

If you are after any particular ones PM me as I have a crap ton of DBZ (saiyan - fusion, but mainly older ones) and a number of pokemon ones too.

Had a look on Ebay/Amazon and I am looking at around $30 per booster pack, so no thanks. I didn't want to buy any particular card, just wanted to get some booster packs so I could relive my childhood and open them, so much nostalgia and fun.

26 packs for $50US, with shipping likely around $4/pack:

And yes, opening booster packs is one of life's great joys :)

Kind of a general stab here, but I'm sure you can get them at places like comic-book stores.

If in AKL, I know there is one on K-Rd and also in Queens Arcade (basement).

The OP is after the old ones - not the new ones - and in my experience the stores are very unlikely to still have any of the old school ones.  But would still be worth a phone call.

Thanks man. Yeah I was thinking about Comic book stores. I live in Wellington so cant really access any comic book stores in Auckland unless they have a site

Thanks man. It doesn't look like that seller ships to NZ, plus they are only accepting Paypal which I don't use/don't want to use. Thanks for looking :P

I am a bit confused. I have seen this www.ebay.com/itm/Pokemon-Card-Booster-Packs-/181096294098?pt=UK_Collectables_TradingCards_RL&var=&hash=item2a2a2e26d2' target='_blank'>www.ebay.com/itm/Pokemon-Card-Booster-Packs-/181096294098?pt=UK_Collectables_TradingCards_RL&var=&hash=item2a2a2e26d2

For Theme select I selected "Base set". Then on Variation 1 the price is coming up as $330GBP/$603NZ. Variation 2/3 are coming up as $15.49GBP.

Is that the actual price for Variation 1 or has the seller made a mistake in the price?

Also, going a bit off topic here but, when I change the quantity the price stays the same. Do I  need to make an Ebay account then add to cart and price  will show?

I have found a couple of sites and was wondering if they were legit? Has anybody used them before? Heard good/bad things about them?

Babydragon: http://www.baydragon.co.nz/ccg.recent.screen

and..

Pokeorder: http://www.pokeorder.com/

I'd be more inclined to use the first site as it looks like its from NZ

Thanks. Might give Babydragon a go then and see what happens. They don't have any of the base set boosters/decks though, still looking for somewhere to buy them from :P
