I was enjoying the Americans on TV3 on Monday nights, then they made it late, so I recorded it and watch it later in the week... now it seems to have vanished from Monday night.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Thankfully just a one week break.

It really is a great show, the two lead characters are awesome.

Oh okay! "The Blue Rose" is a double episode prior to "The Americans" no worries, that's a good watch too.

They didn't even give it a chance before moving to near midnight. One of my favourite programs at moment, it's different.

Does anyone really care about what time a show screens at nowadays? It's not like we have to sit up and wait for it anymore, that's why we have recorders.

Thank you... I do hope the FTA (Advertiser paid for TV) guys are paying a little attention...

I've resisted the urge to go down loading my content and cutting out the local .nz guys...  but my patients really is wearing thin and I can fully understand why so many others are just mocking the industry and using VPNs.

I don't give a hoot if it's Easter or what the excuse.  I feel like I'm being teased and that just annoys me.

Today I just increased my data plan by another 50%.

I know my hawls are hollow and no one really gives to rats about little Don Gould from Mairehau... and perhaps I do have an overly large sense of entitlement to content 'that I'm not even paying for'.

That's ok.

Interesting discussion on the building site today...  5 guys just standing around talking about 1Tb drives and who's got the most movie content.  The guy that won that conversation was the guy with the original Mickey Mouse movies that everyone else wanted.

Not quite the conversation I would have expected on a building site two decades ago, but there you have it.

Yes, I find it one of the more interesting shows to come out of the US in a while.

The political issues and the fact that the US would present the issues from the Russian POV with the Russians being presented as the good guys is very interesting to me.

While I get that it's drama and it's carefully tuned to engage us as entertainment that we want to keep watching, which is does very well I think, it does make you wonder just how much crap has gone on in the past and still today?

There's some real Tin Foil Hat stuff there.

Seeing the technology is also interesting.  Just makes you think how far we've come in such a short time.

What frightens me is how much money is poured into these games?  I look at the likes of the GCSB and wonder how much money we throw at that and wonder if it's money so that different groups can play war games while others in our community live in poor housing and can't find meaningful employment?

Agreed.  But when it jumps about the place it makes it hard to record.

Yes have to agree about the blue rose.  I'm enjoying that one as well.  I like those guys, they were good in Outrageous Fortune and this one is quite clever as well.

If a channel doesn't advertise adequately WHEN a show will be on, it becomes nigh on impossible to record.

I had that with The Amazing Race - one moment it's on a Friday (or Monday - can't quite remember) and the next it turns up a couple of weeks later (unannounced) on a saturday afternon at 1pm.

I missed two episodes and completely lost the thread of what was going on.
First-World problem, I know, but really? A little notice would be nice.

Don,

You can't blame TV3 (even though they annoy me a lot) as the break was a US thing not a NZ thing so TV3 didn't have an episode to show.

US networks especially the FTA ones don't alwys play their programmes every week.
