Rather peed off as you can imagine.
Got home tonight to find we have been burgled.
Back door window broken and door was ajar so I had my suspicion.
Sure enough a bit of a mess.
My macbook gone, asus tablet, vid camera, + cables. Thy have riffled through drawers as wel.
Ive seen a lot more mess on other burglaries from all accounts.
Not nice.
Needless to say Ive rung cops and landlord

Oh crap.
I hope things get sorted and you & yours feel safe and get some sleep.
And insurance covers it.

Its not the items which count, its the photos and non backed up files which is the kick in the gut. Not to mention the feeling of having your safe place invaded.

Hope they catch them, and that you didn't loose anything which cannot be replaced! Just watch out over the next few months, nothing easier for them than to make a second trip to collect all the new toys the insurance co will buy you .

That sucks! Sorry to hear.
Hope the insurance process is straight forward and that you never have another visit from scumbags again.

Sorry to hear about it. We had a similar incident last year and it took us a while to get over it.

I just hope you did not have anything irreplaceable. We lost a lot of digital content that was still on our cameras and hadn't been backed up...all gone.

Also dealing with the insurance company was not smooth as I did not have any receipts or photos of the items to prove I owned them. I have since started maintaining an asset register with all dockets, pictures etc so hopefully better prepared should this happen again.

Remote install tracking software onto your tablet

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/find-wipe-phone-remotely-android-lost/
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidlost
http://www.androidlost.com/

Read all the information, I'm pretty sure it's possible to stealth install remotely via google play website. If you can't remote install stealthy then just install 3 small games then android lost then 3 more small games all at once.

I've used this software before, it's excellent.

Balls!! Sorry to hear about that, it pisses me off no end even just hearing about other people getting burgled.

We've been burgled a couple of times, touch wood not for quite a while, but it's not a good feeling! It's amazing how brazen burglars can be - our front door used to be in plain view of the road and they once smashed straight through it in the middle of the day and walked off with TV, etc. I suppose they have very little to lose given how lightly they seem to get off when they are caught. :(

It reminds me I've been meaning to see if I can setup my webcam as a sort of cheap CCTV while not using it...
