I've just been reading about Geek Dinners in my native Sussex: http://sussex.geekdinner.co.uk/

Do these happen in NZ?

If so, where?

Anyone in Hamilton/Waikato interested in organising a Geek Dinner?

Rob

The closest to this is the weekly coffee I have at Astoria (Wednesday, 1:30pm)... Also there's the Curry Club - at least in Wellington they meet every Thursday evening for dinner at Daawat, Manners Mall.

If there's enough numbers in Christchurch, I can organise a bi-weekly or monthly mini-Geekzone meeting.

I'm keen to put faces to names, I'm working on and off regularly in CHCH for the forseeable future

Cool Nathan... Seems like March is ending soon, but I will try organise one for April then, I know BigFella is keen to meet up too.

p/s: Nathan, will catch you tomorrow at MS Technical Briefing.

Christchurch isn't that far away... I can make any Geekzoners meeting there. Or maybe you could all come down to the sunny south.

well we can even do it together. maybe once a month at Chch, and next month down in Dunedin with 2 weeks apart? Need to have a handful of people turning up to make the trip worthwhile otherwise the traveling cost outweight the quality or the purpose of the meeting.
