Is the gmail web interface down for anyone else? All other sites are fine, other google services are fine, and imap/smtp is fine.

Looks the same too me tho, no down time whatsoever. I remember they added the extra inbox tabs like a few days ago tho.

Full screen compose is new.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Full screen compose as an overlay is new, proper full screen compose that they did until a few months ago was much better IMHO. When I'm writing email I don't care if new emails come in.

Now I just wish they'd change (or allow an option) the way gmail replies to emails.

the format gets extremely messy after say 5-10 emails back and forward.

At least with Outlook and outlook.com it's consistent.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Go into settings and turn off conversation view.

Thanks, but not what I meant.

In outlook, when I reply, the format goes like this:

From: aaron@xxxxx.com
To: xxxxxx@gmail.com
Subject: RE:
Date: Sun, 21 Jul 2013 16:56:02 +1200

Whereas in Gmail, it indents everything then goes;

It gets extremely frustrating, especially for every email you reply to in gmail, it just goes indent-crazy.

Whats worse is how gmail will drop the end part of an email off if it even slightly looks like a signature, so if someone emails you an address or something and then you reply or foward it, then it gets removed quite often.

Or in addition to that, it doesn't pick up the signature properly and just keeps reinserting it.

By the end of the email, it's inserted it a million times.

Reasons above, plus a few more, are the reasons I've moved over to outlook.com

I would go to 365, but my email volumes have decreased recently by easily 70%, so can't justify spending money on emails which I don't use often.
