So we got a call this morning, a while ago. Some kid with the typical silly indian accent on the other end who says hes calling from some Windows Computer Agency, Says its based in Wellington. I know he was lying and what he was about to do. I said let me guess you are calling from India? He says "No No We are a Wellington based company,  we can fix your computer" I say "yea no thanks we have a friend who is a computer engineer himself." he says "We have information that your computer has been compromised and we can help you, your computer is about to crash blah blah blah" (Just like the matrix or some james bond hollywood movie) "Shut the f up you dog. Dont bother calling here"

I go to put down the phone the little fokr calls back, this time with a calm head I say, Okay let me guess its you again, now  look how quickly the Fixer of computers becomes the hacker, lol he says "Look we have control of your computer and we are going to crash it" I have a big smirk on my face, I say okay go ahead. he says "Okay you want to see? Turn on your computer I will show you" ...few seconds later, okay mister hacker, its on. (I'm playing along) so press Windows Key + R (He probably wanted me to RUN some xxxx on the command promote lol) so i am cracking myself up here, if hes the hacker why do I need to put codes in. Lol. So I say look, " who do you think you are scamming here? I am a independent political blogger and a engneer myself I know how this sht works, dont f with me. Do you know what I can do to your number, I will report it!" (he thinks I am a computer engineer) and says oh so your are a computer engineer and starts to hesitate and back off somewhat in his tone. I proceeded to give him a can of whoopass for trying to scam people like that. Then I cut the line.

Just as I go to put down the phone the persistent scumbag calls back again!! this time to swear at me for catching his act of course. I say "why are you wasting your time and money calling me and as i finish he hangs up" lol

Reported him to the the police here at Avondale station, few weeks ago one of my friends said he got a scam email or message in his computer that said "his computer was being used to  watch child porn and now have to say $200 to some bank account". Turns up he had some malware virus issues. but I helped him sort that out.

So just a reminder, Scammer's are calling around a lot pretending to be 1. Computer Repair Guys, 2. Security Frims & 3. Hackers, Preying on old or ignorant people to scam you out of your hard earned money. let your friends and parents or elder members of the family know. If anybody wants to report it to the orb go right ahead.

My old man had a scammer call the other night, he just sat there talking bs to him pretending to be a befuddled confused soul sitting in front of the pc and wasting as much of their time as possible without leaving the couch.

I'm glad I don't have a land line myself.
