Has anyone dealt with fesal.co.nz (or .com.au or .com)?

It seems to be an online shopping site with several localised domains, eg the nz and au ones. They deal in European (mainly Italian it would seem) goods like ovens, tapware and so on. The goods seem to be shipped from overseas into NZ by the look of the freight charges. Even with a $600 delivery charge the end price of an oven ends up about half to 60% of the NZ retail price.

Anyway I am always alert to the possibility of scams. There are some review sites out there with positive comments, but actually hearing from someone who has actually dealt with them before would give me some more assurance.

So - anyone here got any experiences to share?

The biggest problem with high price items is lack of local support and CGA. The company doesn't have a local contact address or phone number, only a contact form.

I'd stay away from these types of online deals.

Good points of course. $3k is a lot of extra to pony up for the oven I want though!

And your sparky should rightly refuse to hook it up as there is no SDOC available for the oven as you are now the importer.

Does this oven come with it's own master chef? $3k *extra*? Geezus :P

Have you tried checking clearance / outlet places like Appliance Shed for pricing?

Never heard of them until now, thanks for the pointer.

Yes it is a fairly high end model.
