Came across this amazing building but no indication of what or where it is. Does anyone know?

Try hosting the image elsewhere or upload it directly to GZ

You didn't upload the image. It's in your computer only, so only you can see it.

Well that's a pretty dumb system! I can copy and paste an image into a post that no one else can see?!

How do I copy and paste so you CAN see it then? The upload image box just asks for something called 'source' and does not allow me to browse my computer or anything like they usually do in forum software.

It's just as easy to upload a image to Geekzone and then copy and paste the URL provided for the image

Use this:

Snag.gy

paste images straight to the web using copy and paste.

Do not use third party hosting, it slows things down. Just save your image as a JPG, under 200KBytes. Go to UPLOAD IMAGE, find the image you want to upload, and it will appear in your Galery, which will even show you the BBCODE to paste into your post.

It's pretty easy to use. Some browsers allow you to paste things into your post but they don't automatically upload or convert to a Base64 item...

Do you know how many steps are required to perform the above? Worrying about image size etc..

Maybe its time geekzone implemented its own snag.gy? Otherwise its just me? Maybe too lazy.

My problem with image size is that we live in New Zealand. These services have servers somewhere else in the world, where a 3MB image will take forever to download. Think of the others, be a good netizen.

Yes that I have to agree with. Most forum software I encounter just offers you the option to browse your computer and upload the image from there in a single click. Much more straightforward.
