I bought an Eton Scorpion 100NGR portable emergency solar radio of tubby.co.nz which they appear to have imported from the USA. It has an FM 87.5 - 108.0 MHz band and an AM 520 - 1710 KHz band. The AM band digital display increments in steps of 10 KHz instead of the 9 KHz frequency steps used for New Zealand AM radio stations.

My question is can this be changed on the circuit board by myself or a radio repair shop? Am awaiting feedback from the manufacturer. I hope the station changer can be changed from 10 KHz to 9 KHz to line up with NZ. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Perhaps try contacting Eton for support?

If that fails, I'd return it as it's "not fit for purpose".

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

After phoning a Technician at Eton Corp (Tubby could not help), he said that I have been sent the US version of the Scorpion radio rather than the international (New Zealand) version which supports an AM 10KHz to 9KHz frequency change (which the US version does not support). Have informed Tubby.co.nz of this via email requesting that they swap it with the proper version for NZ and also requested a return address. Am awaiting a response.

Tubby do not have a contact/return address or phone number on their website which is a concern though they say "Satisfaction Guaranteed" so I am hoping for a positive outcome. Has anyone else bought stuff of their website before? What has their support been like? I'm assuming that any website with .co.nz is legit.
