I bought a new lawn-mower yesterday. Can anyone recommend the best/greenest/cheapest(free)/legal way to dispose of my old (2-stroke petrol) one? Even though the engine still runs pretty smoothly I don’t think it’s worth selling as bits have fallen off the deck, blades are stuffed and the front axle is attached with bits of old coathanger.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I know in Hamilton you can take it to the Refuse Transfer Station, next to it is "the dump shop" where they provide bins for metal recycling for free (along with batteries, oil, paper, glass, cans and lots of other things)

Maybe take it down to your local lawn-mower repair shop. You never know, they may find a use for some parts/the engine.

Thanks.  Just rung Trashpalace, by Porirua landfill, they said they'd happily take it.

Considered that, but can't be bothered with the likely barrage of inane questions.

Find a berm in Auckland with long grass and just leave it in the middle of it.. It won't be found for years..
