Hi all I am in the process of donating to the Phillipine Typhoon Haiyan disaster relief, but dont want the money to be wasted.
As I understand it both Unicef and Oxfam take a percentage, and they are providing plastic buckets for the survivors, which is taken from the donations.
Red Cross claims 100% is donated to the source of disaster, but I dont have a clue how they manage the funds and how they are distributed.
https://www.oxfam.org.nz
https://www.unicef.org.nz
https://www.redcross.org.nz

I want my donation to be best utilised even if there are admin charges (percentages), and would like anyones comments who know a bit more about these organisations or suggest alternative organisations.
Any comments and links please urgently.
Thanks kindly,
Alistair.
