Now that the 50th anniversary episode is upon us, is anyone planning to attend any of the special screenings? And if you are, are you going 'themed up'?

Although we will be at home, we thought we might have custard and fish-fingers for supper while watching.

(Mods: I know there is a Doctor Who 2013 thread. But this is a special occasion. If you feel differently feel free to shut this down or move it.)

9.00am on a Sunday morning is not a good time for anything except being in bed asleep

Must admit I was looking at the 8.30pm rerun rather than the (almost) international simil-cast at 9am. Might have to be Custard and Fish-fingers for brunch instead!

Miss19 and Miss12 are both keen on attending a screening, but I haven't committed to anything. Will see what happens.

No need to close this thread. Perfectly valid topic!

Going to the Albany 4:30 screening. Going to be interesting staying spoiler free up until then

We're going to the new Hoyts Metro for the 4:30 screening, don't know if I'll get a costume or anything, probably not.

Just found this on Youtube, worth watching before seeing Day of the Doctor:

Dang I wish they would make spin-off Eighth Doctor series before he gets to old too.
His audio adventures are fantastic!

Got my tickets for the 3D screening on Sunday night. I'll have to avoid the internet for a while on that day methinks.

I only noticed four ad breaks. Not really a big problem...

Well done Prime TV.

By law, there are no tv ads from 6:00am to midday on Sundays (and Anzac day). The breaks are "self promotion" - adverts for other Prime shows. Tonight's 8:30 screening is scheduled to be 15 mins longer! (BTW, pre 1989, there were no ads on Sundays on tv or radio) I recorded it, but haven't watched it yet, but looking forward to it.
