We've had Best Online Shopping Websites - Computer & Electronic Parts, but what about all the others?

Which ones would you recommend?

And which ones to avoid!

I have always had good service from The Book Depository. Also Mighty Ape and Amazon.

For pet supplies I use http://www.pet.co.nz/

Games, Baby stuff, some tech stuff I use http://www.mightyape.co.nz [disclaimer - I also work there, but was using this site well before then]

Computer storage and gadgets I use http://www.datasquare.co.nz

I've never had any issues with any of these sites:-)

Amazon US and UK, Book Depository (not that I buy physical books much any more), ebay sellers generally good, mighty ape.

DX but it's a bit of a hit and miss. half the stuff is really poorly made. don't get apple gadgets from there or so called extended battery etc ...

Not strictly a "shopping site" per se, but if you are after something it's great for quickly finding out who caries it, whether they have stock, and which of many sellers have the best pricing.

I use Aliexpress for all kinds of stuff.

We just bought the best Monopoly game ever from there. Also clothing, tools, stepper motors etc.

Tools for example are way cheaper than anything that you will find locally and the quality is good.

The one biggest problem I find when buying online from overseas, is that the item often arrives damaged in some way. Usually it is the result of poor packing, and not enough padding around it. So it can sometime be false economy with all the hassle of dealing with that.
