Just curious if anyone else has issues with NZ couriers in Tauranga.

eg, someone sent me something and it was out for delivery at 10am yesterday. Due to circumstances , I needed the delivery yesterday otherwise i would must collect from their depot.

Phoned the sender and they said I should have it by 1pm according to normal delivery cycles.

Didn't turn up by 1pm , so rang NZ Courier Tauranga. They said it might be a bit longer than usual due to xmas . NZC tried to call the driver but couldn't contact them.

Waited until 4pm, phoned NZC again ...  basically the same, cannot contact driver and will definitely be delivered later. But, this is 4pm, and I am getting sceptical.

As I expected, they did not deliver at all yesterday.

Phoned nz courier yet AGAIN....same story, driver still has the goods, and still cannot contact the driver.

But, even worse, i cannot pickup from the NZC depot either because their missing driver still has my goods.

[edit] makes me curious as to where my $3500 of goods were sitting last night too -- in a secure facility or in a courier van parked on a street.

Courer Post had issues yesterday as well. Don't know if that is related or not.

Just had a look and it looks like Courier Post is having delays again..

Must be something going on...

But why would a courier collect goods they have no time to deliver?  Then, not return them to the depot?

And , twice they said  it would be delivered.  Why did they just not say tomorrow?

And, they said I could collect from the depot today, but they are changing their mind on this too because they cannot contact their employee.

This is a bit different to me.  The courier is driving around my neighbourhood yesterday with my goods in their van since 10am.

Anyway, it'll get to me eventually but it has caused some inconvenience as I was waiting around based on what NZC were promising.

figured out what happened. ...

The wrong courier picked up my package -- and had no intention of delivering yesterday despite their head office saying they would deliver.

So now i'm happy that they are giving the correct story and i fully understand mistakes happen -- i just like to know though.
