Haven't heard anything about MS since 6 Jan (where he's had an operation and was in an induced coma to cool is brain)... 4-5 days later ... No news ... Must be pretty bad?

PS kinda brings haunting memories of one possum bourne

The family is at least been given space and peace to deal with it. The hospital is no place for a pack of reporters.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

It's supposedly induced though, so supposedly they could bring him out again. But it doesn't look good. But as the cliché goes, was doing something he enjoyed.

It does have some eerie parallels with Possum's situation, but equally it could be the family shutting out the media during a slower than hoped for recovery. None of us knew Michael so I choose at this stage to respect the family's wishes and hope for the best.

That is just not true. Remember Karl Wendlinger, compatriot and contemporary of Schumi in his early days in F1. In 1995, KW was held in an induced coma for at least two weeks after sustaining head injuries when he crashed during the Monaco GP.

He recovered and returned to racing.

Note the words "I fear" I did not say that it IS too many days in a coma

Still in a medically induced coma;

From the interviews I've seen, amazing racer, pretty average human being.
