Common sense is not as common as you think.
vexxxboy: i have been trying to contact them for days on the 0800 number but if the recorded voice answers it, and thats not a certainty, i cant seem to find the option where i can talk to someone. I either have to know a extension number or choose one of the 4 options that just takes you to a recorded message and then back to the beginning. Has anyone actually contacted a person to talk to in the last few weeks, if so can you let me on the secret of how. They say you can email them but you get a message back saying due to extra demand there will be delays and if you dont get a reply in 7 days ring them .i am running out of time to resolve the problem and it ends up in the courts. does anyone know if they are having problems or is this just normal . Thanks for any help.
The last time I saw a policeman (and a civvy contractor at that) was the annual inspection for my firearms. Other than that, in 10 years the only interaction I have had is seeing them in cars.

What firearms endoresment requires an annual check by the Poilce?

B (pistols) does.
vexxxboy: its to do with a compliance ticket for WOF, i had 14 days to comply which i did, sent in everything they wanted and a few days ago received a another ticket saying i had 28 days to pay , so i need to know why it wasnt wiped as it states on the ticket

what you've got to do is go to a police station, as even if you've gotten a new WOF they still have to sight that you have etc. you'll find that most stations tend to have someone manning the front desk on Saturdays if you're busy during the week.
and i suggest getting this done sooner rather than later as once they start doing late fees you'll pretty much have to go through alot of effort to get those resolved.

Only if you're dodgey, I've only had them when I move so not in 2yrs+.
To the OP I wouldn't stress, if you've complied, followed up with the email and your WOF details have been updated properly with NZTA then you're all good as they'll see that info.
(You may want to verify with NZTA though as some mechanics can stuff up the data entry into the system).
If you're still worried, try emailing the officer that gave you the ticket. His QID will be on the ticket: XYZZ12@police.govt.nz
