Maybe its just me, but does anyone else see any issues with this.....

Ive started a new job, and had the old guys email address forwarded to me - so Im getting all his mailing list stuff etc which Im slowly bumping off. One email is from Countdown advertising specials - I find the Unsubscribe link and click it.

Its taken me to the Countdown onecard login page - so far so good. Except all the fields are pre-populated except the DOB.

So I now have his OneCard number, alternative name he uses, and whatever information is held inside the Countdown site (probably physical address etc) once I figure out his DOB - and with the help of Facebook/LinkedIn/OldFriends, Im pretty sure I could work out.

Now before anyone suggests that its using Auto Complete etc for web forms, impossible, hes never been on this PC as he dosent even live in Auckland.

And all I want to do is stop an email being sent.....

sounds pretty bad, but then the only way this would happen is if you have access to his emails (which you do), which means you likely have access to a whole lot more stuff beyond just his countdown details.

True, but considering the amount of email accounts that get broken into these days..... also if the email was forwarded for any reason.

In this age of security and privacy, pre-populating fields from an email seems crazy....
