Hi There!

We are wanting to someone who does better pizza than Hell that delivers during the day to the Auckland City Area.

Recommendations please.

Intern employee with a vehicle to go and fetch it for you.

Works every time.

Sadly my intern finished up with us a couple of weeks back.

Sal's are nice if you like that style of pizza, you would have to check delivery locations though. Used to get it more often that I should've.

Well IMO Sal's is the best pizza in NZ but no idea if they deliver. Got any kids you can send? There must be some benefit to having them, surely?!

You won't be disappointed by Toto imo - they are *delicious*. Sal's is also pretty good, and also decent value for money. The meatball pizza is YUM!

Off topic: I was picking up a Sal's pizza the other day and someone has asked for a special order (which I didn't know you could do) of Teriyaki Tofu pizza, no cheese. I stood there thinking I had misheard, because WHY are you having pizza if you're not going to have pizza? /boggle

We always liked Gorgeous on Dominion, but I don't believe they deliver...

Problem with Hell is that they are so variable.

When we were ordering from the Royal Oak one, they were pretty dismal...now we are in New Lynn, our local franchise is great - always hot, fresh, well made and super fast delivery. Couldn't be happier!

Personally I find Hell's options all a bit over-complex and also the meat somewhat artificial tasting.

I will admit to enjoying more than one game of Pizza Roulette with that super hot sauce though!

The thing with Hell is that their pizza are ok (not great) but the sides are fantastic. We have spent time in the US recently and pizzas there are just 100x better than most pizzas here. I went to one place in Vegas and the pizza was indescribable. Probably the most delicious thing I ever tasted in that price range bar none. It was mouthgasmic. There is a place in onehunga/one tree hill that has recently moved into the city that is really good, but the service is terrible and it's a long way to travel for us.

I'd have to agree - the US does seem to make some things just so much better. I have no idea why - pizza is not exactly a complex recipe - but you are absolutely right. Burgers too: even the best anywhere other than the US never seem as good.

Yep. I was VERY excited when I saw in and out might be coming here. I have had mixed burgers in the US, but the best there is still so much better than the best here for sure.

Yes - but...will they be able to maintain the quality and taste? And will they actually train their staff and expect US levels of customer service to be delivered on pain of dismissal? Bringing the brand here is only half the story.......

Sal's do deliver by segway in the CBD but I don't know the radius from their store that they do so

Pizza was ok from Toto's but it wasn't HOT and that was a problem affecting it significantly. I wouldn't get delivery from them again.

Aw, that's a terrible shame. It's so sad that your first experience with them turned out to be your last. I honestly couldn't comment on how warm they are on arrival, as inbetween work and stuff all we ever get is (at best) luke-warm pizza. Was it at least tasty despite being tepid?
