Bought some computer gear from Ebay and was going to ship to a friend in CA and have them shop to me. But the items were from a store that sells on Ebay and would incur CA sales tax - about US$33 with free shipping. And then there's the cost of sending it to NZ from CA.

Instead shipped to Youshop with free shipping and no sales tax.

And I have just cleared the item with Youshop and the shipping to NZ is NZ$28 so that's a much better deal.

Nice saving this time.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Hence why the Youshop business model works.
I've used it before and it works well if you stay under the $400 threshold for GST on imports.
