So this is all my personal opinion so of course you will have your own so by all means share it.

Not really to fussed with the current crop of movies about and everything seems so meh now days. I don't even really know what I want to see in a movies these days to be honest. The last movie I really enjoyed watching was Prometheus and would look forward to seeing where the next installment of that went.
Being a male in his mid forties I just don't know what I want , I start watching a movie and find that 20 mins in I am board.

I would really like to see a movie made based on the books by Raymond E. Feist and the rift war saga.

I am over the hobbit movies and find they don't hold much interest for me.

I don't get much of a chance to watch tv with work being so busy but have to admit I have been enjoying The Black List as well as this season of Sons of Anarchy. Comedy's that keep me amused are Big Bang Theory and The Middle. Seems to be to many reality cop shows on for me at the moment and don't get me started on csi and all the spin offs currently showing.
Have been enjoying the current The Block which is not to bad.
Just like my father before me I always watch the news at 6pm but really just the first 30 mins which has all the main points.

Sometimes I will drop in on the Jones channel and reminisce on the shows I grew up watching and get a kick out of watching some of them.

Whats your take on movies and tv shows or movies you would like to see be made ??

The only thing that I've seen recently that was half way decent was Captain America the Winter Soldier.

I agree with the movies being a bit meh bit but not so much the TV. It's hard to find a movie now that isn't just a boring prequel, sequel or remake. Seems there is very little imagination left in Hollywood these days.

TV on the other hand is a completely different story. There is in my opinion an unbelievable amount of exceptional TV floating around. Admittedly most of it is not readily available in NZ and you have to torrent or use a geo unblocker of some sort but it's there. I'll list just a few of the shows I speak about.

Breaking bad (just finished but if you haven't seen it you need to)
Game of thrones
House of cards
Sherlock
Sons of anarchy
Bates motel
Vikings
The walking dead
Homeland
Banshee
True detective.

And most recently started is a show called Fargo. A true story. It's only 2 episodes in, I watched them both today and I can say it's possibly the best opening to a show I have ever seen.

As I say there is just a few and in my opinion only. Tastes will obviously vary.

There are a few good movies around, which is about par for the course. I loved Wolf of Wall Street. I have also heard good things about Grand Budapest Hotel, which I plan to see shortly.

I agree with the sentiments above on TV also - there is a ton of good stuff at the moment. I am particulatly enjoying:
- House of Cards
- House of Lies
- Game of Thrones
- Veep (OK, I'm a bit of a political junkie)
- Breaking Bad

And there seems to be more coming. The next season of Orphan Black has just started for instance.

NZ T.V. is so bad that I've taken to getting my viewing elsewhere about the only things I'll watch are the news, fair go and NCIS (not the LA one that sucks)

I found a series on Netflix called Crossing Lines

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossing_Lines

that I have enjoyed (so much better watching a TV series when the whole season is available).

It's a joint venture US/European show shown on NBC in the US but while the second season has been green lit, it is not clear if NBC will show it. But it will be Netflix I am sure.

Its all about expectations. People expect more but they simply cant make storylines that much better.

YES!

It retains the spirit of the movie too.

Consider me hooked.

I haven't really been "hooked" on a show since Game of Thrones or Doctor Who. There's really not much out there that spins my wheels. I'd ditch Sky altogether if my missus didn't want it.

I'm also really enjoying "The Trip".
It's dry as hell, so not for everybody. Typical Steeve Coogan. You'll either find it hilarious, or sleep-inducing, depending on your sense of humor.

Presso: movie made based on the books by Raymond E. Feist and the rift war saga.

Dang Yes !!! Would be more than 1 movie though - probably more along the length of the "arry Potta Saga - and also the Mistress/Daughter/Servant Of the Empire off-shoots.

Even the opening book Magician would take a full movie to get thru that novel.

I'd also like to see Philip Jose Farmer's Riverworld saga put to a movie or TV series. Just re-read recently .. damn good escapism ..

This. A million times this. It would be a lot of movies.

As for TV... Arrow, Grimm, Almost Human, Banshee, Hannibal, True Detective, Sherlock and Elementary may be of interest to you.
