Prime has just started a new series of mythbusters, but only after about 3 episodes it has been taken off air to
make room for Americas got talent. Rang Sky to find out about the reason. And all he could tell me was, that he didn't have
any information when it was returning.
But why was it taken off only after 3 or so episodes.
Can't get a decent answer ..........Argghhh!

lugh: and when did America get talent?

I've watched a couple of episodes now, and they do seem to have a couple of good approximations though...

But fer cryin' out loud, why drop Mythbusters?

Cheers

I got this reply from Sky

Hello Warrick,

Thank you for your email.

I have confirmed with the Prime Channel that Mythbusters will be returning in the next couple of months. We had to break the series as we had used up all the current episodes available to us. However it will be returning with all new episodes. Please keep an eye on your local TV listings or the Prime website as these are updated as scheduling is made available.

At least you will have something to watch on the way to a hotspot.

The thing that annoys me about this show is that they repeat everything about 7 times...they stretch 15 minutes of good show to 40 minutes of repetition. I still like it though.

Bear in mind that the ISP - XNet - have a history of doing this, only to people who have downloaded games, and it seems in particular Microsoft games.

I was reading blurb of Ihug's new billing plans and even there they have an odd phrase :

"this plan is for all you serious internet junkies that want to download plenty of songs and movies," - how weird is that !

But Prime's behaviour is a classic example of why the consumer/viewer wants to download rather than sit through commercials.
