Is it possible to add a "mentions" or keyword alert to email with geekzone?
When a user creates a posts or comment with a specific keyboard, can geekzone alert me via email ?

Is something like this achievable? Would find this very useful!

As i would like to be on geekzone 24/7 its just not possible.
Not sure if geekzone has something like this in place, if so please point me in the right direction.

Hmmm. This would use a bit more processing than your normal post/reply as it would have to index words in a list and search for these in any post.... Could get huge!

would be a great feature :)

Might not be so huge if you add filters : eg, remove stop words? and limit 5 triggers per user.
Also most of the keywords/mentions would be duplicates : eg, Sale, Free etc

would definitely put a bit of strain on the mail server and put bursts of traffic to geekzone which would be good for your advertising.
making it part of the subscription package only might be a plus side to it, i know i would pay.

just an idea, more than happy to trial it if you decide to implement it.

yeah they do but its very useless. It also doesnt pinpoint to only 1 website.
The other downfall is that its delayed and misses a lot...

I currently use Google's alert service and about another 3 or 4 other alerting websites to accommodate the missed data...still cant pinpoint to 1 site :/
