Do other members get plagued by calls from the Dominion Post wanting you to subscribe?

We will get on average three calls a week and on one day we received three calls, by the third I was getting a tad testy. This weekend I think it was Sunday evening yet another phone  call then last evening Monday circa 6pm, a sales person for Dominion Post knocking at our door, he was invited to leave our property immediately and not return.

I have asked countless times not to be called etc and I have emailed their contact email requesting same

This to me amounts to harassment, what suggestions do you fine folk have?

You could try listing your number with the Marketing Association's Do Not Call list. I'm not sure if the Dom Post is a member, though.

The Press in Chch used to do the same.  The offer was 1/2 price delivery for 3 months.  I agreed, then cancelled when the 3 month period expired.  Then they'd call again - offering the same deal.  I managed to get 1/2 price newspapers for a few years.  Then they must have updated their database / marketing software to something which works - they don't call me any more.  I did much the same with SkyTV.  I suspect that I'm on a few direct marketing databases - and my name comes up in italics, in red.  The Press for 1/2 price would be tempting.  SkyTV - not so much.

I have had a few of those. The last one I explained that I was not interested as I read a free one at work and was not interested in the weekend one and she hung up on me. Quite rude really.
Now I'm definitely not buying one.

It will be interesting to see what their response to my email is. I will probably get a sales call.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I have received an email back apologising  for this. They stated they will talk to the sales team and have our number blocked.

We shall see.

Yes I used to get them all the time all the time, although probably not for the last year. I am also on the do not call list, so not sure if they are a member of the direct marketing association. They do offer some good deals for new subscribers, but as the delivery person is incapable of getting the paper in my box, and just chucks it on the footpath where any passerby can pick it up, it is a hopeless service.

I have had them a couple of times, around twice in the last six months, nothing like that level of frequency.

The last time they called I gave them a quick opinion on the lamentable state of the product they were peddling, and invited them to call me back once they had some actual decent content in the paper that was worth reading and I would consider it then. I haven't heard from them since.
