Hey Guys,

Took my Dog to get groomed at Animates today, when I picked him up they had cut open his back leg. They kept saying that he will be fine, no need to take him to the Vet. The wound look more serious than just a scratch, so I took him to the Vet anyways.
In the end they had to give him anesthetic and gave him 5 stitches! The bill cost me around $400.
Is Animates liable for this?

Yes I would be complaining to them and asking them to pay.
Your vet should be able to put on the paperwork add to how old they think the wound is.

I know if someone who had a similar problem, the groomer denied cutting their dog, by the time they got it home it was covered in blood, needed a lot of stitches, and when presented with the evidence still denied there was a problem.
Eventually they paid the very bill, but took a lot of arguing.
