Was quite interesting to hear on One News tonight that the RCN group is in liquidation and now being looked at by the Serious Fraud Office.

Appears that they fell quite behind on the TV Takeback Program

Bet the director has a nice beach house.

One of my guys noticed some of their office equipment on Grays a few weeks ago.  Be interesting to hear the result of the SFO investigation.

Same thing happened all over the states, with supposed recycling companies just leasing large warehouses, dumping the old tvs in them and pocketing the recycling fees and bailing.

Things like this are why any of these waste minimizing schemes need to be watched over like anything.

Interesting, I just blasted Auckland Council for taking a weak position on e-Waste and just recommending pay-to-ecycle companies like RCN in one of their surveys.

networkn: Are you guys talking about rcn.co.nz ?

It does appear to have the same director, although the news has been known to be wrong before
