I was after a Cheero Danboard USB Charger and looks like these guys are the only stockists in NZ.

Just want to make sure I get a legit one and not some knockoff also without the hassle of getting one online from overseas.

Never heard of them before until now.

Cheers

I've looked at the mobile7.co.nz Web site and based on what I've seen, I would not deal with this firm.

*The quality of grammar and syntax on the site are atrocious.
*Clicking on "Our People" brings up - nothing (that is, the page doesn't change).
*They don't give a phone number.

I checked with the Companies Office and got zero hits searching for a company with a name starting with "Mobile7".

Now I'm not the slickest operator on the 'net and there could be good reasons for any of the site's deficiencies (not all of which I've listed) but all together, to me they spell TROUBLE.

I'd concur, based on:

  • Null links (links that are just empty anchors i.e. the 'Our People')
  • Domain Registration/Whois, Registrant is a Christchurch based woman (who according to the Companies Office is the director of an Acupuncture centre), Admin/Tech contact is a Christchurch based man (who according to the Companies Office is the director of Partsurf NZ Ltd).
  • Partsurf NZ Ltd's website (and the Admin/Tech contact's e-mail address domain) is: http://www.partsurf.co.nz/ and my-oh-my, does that look similar!
  • Partsurf's address on their homepage is listed as: "Partsurf NZ Ltd  /  Care of Affordable Computers / 88A, Riccarton Road, / Christchurch"
  • affordablecomputer.co.nz happens to be the domain component of the Registrants e-mail address.

In short:  A tangled web with the domain whois alone, everything points to Christchurch but the 7mobile site tries to make out they are from Auckland (hey it could be true!).  (Edit: The Acupuncture Centre threw me off for a second, but the address matches)

Personally:  I'd stay clear.
