Am I the only one who cringes in disgust when I see that 'Orcon News' still has a reference to Dotcom?

Firstly, it is no longer news and secondly he offends a lot of people. (Well, he certainly offends me!).

I'll flick this feedback to the marketing team who control such things.

TBH the tie in with Orcon and Kim Dotcom make me want to cancel the many services I have with them.... Why in the world would they choose someone like him - sure some like him but others don't, he's way to divisive?! Doesn't speak much of the company.

I cringe and get offended everytime I open a news website and see a pretty picture of John Key. Maybe I should complain to all the news sites?
:P

Seriously there is something everywhere that will offend someone! Everyone has different thoughts and opinions, if I see something I don't like I just move on.

Totally agree lose the dot com factor! I did leave orcon was only because of orcon being one of three ufb suppliers that I came back .

I wonder if there is any ISP ad campaign out there that doesn't somehow make people want to kick a puppy for some obscure reason or another.

Personally I quite liked the Orcon/Dotcom campaign.

The one that I loathe, and was at least partially responsible for making me stop using their services was 2 degrees campaign with that cretinous little prat Rhys Darby.
Seriously, the man fronted a FACT propaganda DVD. He should be tarred, feathered, stripped of his citizenship, and sent to live in Hollywood. Have gone out of my way to not watch anything with him in it, but at the same time ensure his "linux iso's" are well seeded.

The one that irks me the most is the spark(Telecom) Giganaire ad that thing is so painful to listen to I change channel as soon as it starts on TV and for people it has to be Helen Clark oh boy those teeth would make a mother barracuda proud you think some of the money she was paid could have been used for a dentist to sort em out it just makes me cringe (read vomit a little in my mouth) when ever I see a photo of her smiling

We all have our little likes and dislikes!!

But, getting back to the Orcon Home Page, perhaps the saddest feature is that the last 'News' item was in March!!! This is not a good look - if you have a News feature, keep updating it or ditch it. Otherwise it just looks as if nothing happens here or no one cares. A Home Page should be lively and up to date making visitors think they have come to a place deserving of their time. Why else would you spend large amounts of money on it?

(Definition of 'news'- 'newly received or noteworthy information, especially about recent events').
