Bought a Sony PS3 controller at start of the year as my old one was being a bit dodgy....
New one was all good until recently when it would start going flat after a few hours - throw it on charge and it appeared to charge fine, but again died after a few hours.
Now it wont charge at all. Plug it into the PS3 and the lights flash as if its charging, but soon as I remove the plug, it dies.

Tried multiple USB cables in case it was the cable at fault, no change. Tried the other USB port - no change. Old controller still happily charges (and holds its charge).

Anyone had this happen ?

I will contact The Warehouse where it was purchased, but think Ill be pushing **** up hill as I no longer have the receipt and suspect Sony will just pull the "goto retailer" line....

Does CGA apply even if youve lost the paperwork ? Its obviously an official Sony controller but is that enough to get anyone to do anything about it.....

I'm fed up with jumping out of planes/cars/boats at high speed in GTA5 on my old controller...and my mates more so, when Im the driver/pilot....

You need to be able to provided proof of purchase.  Unless you paid cash, it will be as easy as taking in your back statement showing the transaction.

Can you get the date & transaction amount from your bank statement? In my experience the warehouse have been good at looking up transaction details without a receipt if you can provide some useful info like that and present the card used for purchase.

See, I KNEW using Twitter to post about purchases had a legitimate use case :-)

Good news so far :)

Thank you for contacting us. Yes you can take the date and amount into the store of purchase and they will be able to print a copy of the receipt for you.
