I bought by my own error a 120w Vaporizer  Vicks model 150SGN
There is no voltage change switch

Is this an expensive paperweight?

Any options to use here?

i presume it would need some sort of inverter ?

inverter would be the simplest thing or buying another one with the correct voltage

I assume you mean 120 volts. For a device like this, the most practical option is to sell it, take your loss, and buy another. There are ways other than inverters of hacking the voltage but they probably wouldn't work well with this. It is designed for 60 hertz and that might (or might not) cause a problem since power here is 50 hertz. It also probably uses a fair amount of current, making difficult things like transformers or even voltage dividers. I think you are better off just starting over.

Does the main plug directly into it, or is there a transformer box that feeds it 12V DC or similar?

Im guessing that it has a heating element, But does it also have a fan? As heating elements don't care about 50Hz Vs 60Hz But for some types of electric motors this is a big problem.

I think it was only about 20-40 usd the plug go straight into the unit unfortunately 

If anyone thinks they can do something with it they can have it for the cost of the freight (i guess about $5-10 depends where you are) Its brand new in a original box

all i can find on the box is 120v 60hz

There is a consumer site which lists it at 696 watts. Way too much for a small adaptor unfortunately.
