Hi, I want to register my website www.freeviewinstalls.co.nz with Google AdWords.

If I do this, does Google also add my site to their search database? Would it then come up by typing in keywords or will it only come up through the pay click through links?

The services are separate - Google BOT does the indexing, while AdWords is just your tool to advertise your site.

I recommend you check www.google.com/webmasters

Also, the site is already on Google main index according to this https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/sitestatus tool... Are you spamming this forum?

Spamming this forum? I hadn't even finished my site yet, let alone put it on Google.... i'm guessing maybe my host has done it or the place i bought the domain name from? I havn't ever registered anything with google before, thats why i'm asking for help here.

Pages from your site are included in Google's index.
Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Aug 24, 2007.

Good to know... i'm happy now.

You don't have to generally submit the site to Google - the Bot will find you. But you can submit through sitemaps and other tools, all explained in that Webmaster link I posted before.

As I said AdWords is an advertising tool and you will pay per click through, so it's not free stuff.

I think advertising on Google is an extremely powerful way to reach customers, i know a lot of people who use Google to find products and services, i'd use it over the Yellow Pages anyday.
