We just had a major flickering of lights, thankfully power is still on, but my wife who's at a friends place texted to say no power in St Heliers bay area. Anybody else affected or aware of any power outages?  Can't see much other than a few minor ones on Vector site.

EDIT: vector has updated their site and it currently says estimated restoration of power by 9pm:

"Multiple Feeders/Zone Sub outage. - Our Network Control Room has advised of a Zone Sub outage, causing power loss to multiple areas.. Most likely due to a weather related issue."

Wondered if that was just our place.
It almost crackled!
Something bad has happened somewhere.

I got UPS kick in messages from our office and other clients around the North Shore so it was a pretty big surge, but no cuts here so far.
