I have gotten no end of comments on a certain blog post from people wanting a free Vista key. This one is just a classic example.

Stupid people are everywhere:

can sum1 send me a windows vista activation key for 32 bit home premium. i upgraded to vista and didn't know you had to pay for it. I already maxed out the activation hack for vista so I really need a key now. send it to blaznsikw1tit23@aim.com thankyou!!

Yes, I read the comments other day. Some people can be really, well, bluntly saying, stupid.

It never ceases to amaze me how open some people are about their acts of piracy. Idiots on the NZDating.com messageboards are constantly talking about various services that they use for the purpose of pirating music.

Nzdating, Lol... what a waste of time that would be...

As for the Users, email them a virus called "Vitsa Crcak" or somehing.. I have a nice one which will cook a machine very nicely! (literally, Overclocks the CPU slowly til it hits thermal runaway and attempts to change voltages suddenly too once it gets hot)

The same goes for stupid blog articles, stating obvious or illegal stuff in order to get "google juice" for advertising revenue.

My own "Lunar photo's" was actually a carefully planned experiment to run a pile of test which worked superbly. (and actually provided something of interest too as i'm not just a tosspot) though I think I need to but a "good" high-end digital camera.

I have had a few dumb posts and an oversaturation of boring rants I must admit.

I've actually made a lot of friends through that site, but if you're looking for intelligent conversation online then it's not the place to go. The same seems to apply to all the other 'social networking' sites that are popping up all over the place.

I was told it was a "hookup" site and my visit to it to "confiigure" my script, the site showed me profiles of legs and lace straight away with those provocative "nzdating" eyes staring back at me!

I did think the clolour schemes, Pink for Girls (Bimbo) and Blue for Boys (Himbo) a rather amusingly cute touch. I never went as far as registering a test gay profile, I assume it's a rainbow or pink triangles..

I can proudly say I do not have a myspace, Beebo, meebo, or any other social networking thing, I cannot seem to understand the concept somehow..just one of a couple of things I cannot grasp (the other is random art which is just stripy patterns or 4 coloured squares and stuff like that. huh?)

I do have a "Secondlife" profile with some cool homemade hacks to go places I shouldn't and steal stuff. some of the models users import are very good and and very handy for use in other games..

You know those tests to make sure thats its an actual person making a post, and not some automated bot? I think instead of having questions like 9+2=? they should have a truncated IQ test instead. . .

In fact, an IQ test should be administered before anyone can connect to the internet in the first place ;]

It's a "dating and friendship" site and whilst there are some extreme personalities when you look at profiles online, the vast majority of people who I have actually met have turned out to be entirely tolerable. There have been some freaks though including the guy who was allegedly stalking a chick who I was talking to at a party a couple of weeks ago, the chick who was showing me burns on her body which she got from ironing her clothes while wearing them, and the guy who went berserk with a pool cue at last year's Christmas party.

The icons vary a bit for certain types of users, like homosexuals, transvestites and people looking for couples to...ahem...entertain them. A while ago I was at the home of one of the regular users and a group of us were huddled around a laptop trying to work out what we had to become to get one of the less common colours.

The good thing about NZDating.com is that it offers users the ability to list events, along with tools to control who is invited, and who has paid their share if costs are involved. I haven't tried Myspace or Bebo but I've had a brief play with iYomu and it doesn't really appeal to me because it doesn't seem to offer anything to bridge the gap between interacting online and meeting in real life. I like to know who I'm interacting with, so I'm not really the sort of person who sits in front of a computer all evening chatting to people who I know I'm never going to meet.

I've always wanted to have a go at Secondlife, but have never got around to it. I suspect that it might put a bit of pressure on my small broadband data cap, though.

I've just been looking at all the comments to your blog, Brad (well that's not quite true - I soon got fed up with all the "give me the key" comments), and it looks like you have been set up!!

Has someone posted "This guy will give you any key you want" on an internet nutters site??!?
