Are there any kiwi or nz specific forum site with decent amount of posters to chat about specific nz issues? I ve only found one site, but it doesnt have many posters and looks like the admin is gonna close it down soon.

I have been thinking of developing such a site for a number of years now, but my other business projects have taken so much of my time that I have not pursue it any further. Also my computer and programing skills are very limited. Someone with programing skills who has a similar vision that would like to develop a NZ/Kiwi forum, please message me for a chat.

Cheers.

Do the Trademe forums count?  I've found them to be useful for some things, although there is a lot of noise there. Certainly they are the busiest NZ forums I've come across.

The trademe message boards are full of noise, and most of the trips i have had there to have a gander have seen me leave in amazement at the level of stupidity the average TM board chatter possesses.

The administration there is crazy too "ignore or delete" seems to be the only tools they have!

Its gone down hill... (or should I say stupid people have finally figured out how to use the internet)

TM used to be good about 7 or 8 years ago, but now its just a wasteland of bored housewives and self opinionated knob jockeys, with a increasing number of people wanting help downloading all sorts of warez.

Self opinionated I understand, but I must be getting old.  What's the rest of that phrase mean?

Just start the thread you want to discuss here in the off-topic section, here's as good as any to discuss NZ issues is it not?

I admin/moderate a BMW website (www.bimmersport.co.nz) and we have NZ specific discussions all the time in the off-topic section.

E: interestingly, alot of the non-geek users actually post quite a few questions that would be better of posted here, love it.
