Happy New Year all.

Nothing much. I never do. In 47 years I have never done more than go to a friend's for dinner on NYE. We had some friends come for dinner but they left at 1030 after having dinner and watching a movie! My wife is asleep in bed and if I stay up to midnight it'll be just me and the dogs if they can be bothered to stir.

I've never really seen the point of NYE to be honest - you may as well celebrate the end of every week or every month if a date change is a valid reason for excess alcohol etc.

When my father died in 2012 my Mum threw 10 big wooden boxes of R&J Coronas in the bin! I nearly cried.
