Beautiful video. As I thought, there were some parts from Iceland in that video as well. :) No geysers or hot springs in Norway unfortunately.

This is what you can expect in Norway this time of the year

On my bucket list..and has been for some time.

Hoping to get back to Europe within the next year or five and Northern Lights will definitely be on the itinerary.

Auroral actuvity is as variable and predictable as the weather. But its not always visible, and of course is only visible at night.

Oddly, despite spending the first 37 years of my life a stone's throw away, I have never been to Scandinavia at all.

It's on my list too.

Moving somewhere miles from anywhere certainly makes you appreciate how convenient it is to live next door to Europe.

Look for coronal holes on the sun, pointing towards earth.

That's a cool video!

Hell of a lot like NZ though isn't? The bush areas looked very Southern Alp'ish. And the bits at the end looks similar to what your see in the Marlborough sounds. The main differences I saw were the city areas being much much more populated.

And what is that amazing road called?! It appeared in Top Gear but I can't remember what they called it.

Norway and New Zealand looks a lot a like in certain places, for sure. One of the differences between Norway and Sweden is that we like to spread ourselves out in Norway, Sweden is much more urban. One of the cities that is in the video is Bergen, its one of Norways 6 cities with a population over 100.000 people. Its actually the second largest city in Norway. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Largest_cities_of_Norway

I think Top Gear were supposed to test Lysbotnveien, but it was closed when they got there. http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/jaguar-xkr-s-top-gear-norway-2011-07-20

You can check out the road on Google Maps here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?oe=UTF8&ie=UTF8&msa=0&mid=zny5MnSLT7l4.kMbaUqduvhN0
