Have any of you out there got any experiences or comments on Telecom's "online mall" website ferrit.co.nz?

We've all seen the naff ads, but I would really be interested in your views of the "shopping experience" that is ferrit.

I have purchased a couple of things, a CD for my son and the latest Harry Potter novel. In both cases my experiences were somewhat underwhelming. Both items arrived late, in fact when I pointed out that the book had not arrived a week and a half after the release date, they gave me a 20% rebate - which I suppose is to their credit.
I don't think I would have even considered using this site had it not been for free delivery at the time.

The next online purchase I made was for some software, and I got a bit clever with that - searched on ferrit for the best deal, then went directly to the suppliers web site. Better options for payment and the goods were with me two days later.

I am also a little perplexed by Telecom not openly advertising their backing of the website??!?

I have have just one sample, I bought a toaster :) not long ago from ferrit.
I submitted my order on Saturday. On Monday I received a mail from the shop that they didnt find our home phone in the White Pages (secret of course) therefore to give them any proof of our home address: a phone bill, or electricity bill, something.
Fortunately I had a phone bill with me in the office where I work, so I scanned it and sent it in email.
They acknowledged it and the package arrived 1 day later.

Good points:
- ferrit is shipping for free at the moment
- I found the same toaster 10-15NZD less than in any shop in AKL.
- Package arrived next day from Wellington

Bad points:
- I didnt like this asking for proof thing, however I fully understand the issue with stolen credit cards and so, but it was just a toaster, I payed it and they just could call me to prove that I am who I am and I ordered the toaster for sure. Usually I am not running around with phone or electricity bills in my pocket.

I is a kollege stoodent. Bee nice.

I brought a bracket for my screen (used as TV) off it.  I had no problems at all.  The vendor who sent it to me sent it fine.  The price was much cheaper than the thieves hocking the same things off on TradeMe.

I was a bit skeptical, but i'd use Ferrit again.
