I am doing some research on how kiwis use technology compared to the rest of the western world.

My perception is that as Kiwis we are willing to use new technology and in fact embrace it (compared to a lot of other countries)

eg pay wave, internet banking apps etc etc.
Not just talking about banking payment methods but all things techy.

Anyway my perception is that we embrace new technology, BUT is there any research done around this that is more factual than perception and if were is it ?

Done some googles but can not find much.

Thanks

I have heard / read the NZ is favoured as a testing ground for some new technologies. EFTPOS is one tech tested extensively in NZ prior to worldwide deployment.

Western-world, good infrastructure, stable government, and a small population, with some medium-high density population pockets, and when things go belly-up, there is not too much of an impact.

I sort of recall some wireless tech was tested here ? precursor to 4G / LTE ?
