hello,

I'm down in Wellington from Thursday till Sunday.

Any recommendations for a decent ($$-$$$) Chinese and Indian restaurant.

Cheers...

Zaika (just down from the corner of Dixon/Willis) does a good curry but order off the menu and not their lunch buffet.

Everyone seems to rate Great India (also on Manners) but Ive found it hit and miss. Little India on Cuba is more consistent.

No, don't go there. It's a mix of fake food.

If you are looking for "modern fusion" asian try Chow on cnr of Tory and Courtenay Pl.

Masala on Allen street has some of the best Indian food and also have the cheapest lunch prices I believe. There's also another Indian restaurant called Curry Pot in Newtown, it's not as fancy as the others but the food there is great.
