Just picked up a white version of this from K-Mart for $15, it's a total life saver beside the bed.

What's your multiple device charging solution?

We have an ipad charger and 2A USB charger in the lounge, these get used for overnight charging of tablets and daytime charging of phones if needed, and we just use phone chargers in bedroom for overnight phone charging

I find non apple chargers a bit hit and miss when charging ipads, they never seem to 100% charge them, on the other hand the ipad charger happily charges up any device

I'll take a picture when I get home but I made a diy charging station using one of those wooden cubes from the warehouse and a few bits and pieces. The cube has a multi plug with several USB chargers. Cables are fed out the top. Nice and neat.

How many amps does each port on that put out?

I use a Qi wireless charger beside the bed and on my desk at work, and have a variety of USB chargers around, the most recent being a 6-port Anker charger which will come in handy for travelling.

i always have a cable handy in computer, battery pack sits in glove box of car for those dire situations and by bed sits the charger which came with my M8, Dual port 2.1A/1A charger.

Also have ipod dock, which is where the ipod lives 99% of the time when its not in the car.

Apple devices can be a pain to charge sometimes, had many issues where a driver not loading correctly would not let it even charge off a computer till a reboot (even with ssd, reopening everything, such a pain!).

If you want a nice integrated solution, I have heard good things about these:

I use an apple or belkin charger for apple stuff. I find it doesn't seem to charge well with some of the cheap USB chargers, not sure if it is due to it being dirtier power.

I think you might find this is 2A split over the two ports not per port (but it is in fact a good solution).

http://www.cdlnz.com/index.html?do=viewproduct&p=POW550&code=PT1USB3A is is the same style of thing as per the OP but does have a full 3.15A to share over the two ports.

I use this beast ...

http://www.cdlnz.com/index.html?do=viewproduct&p=USB300&code=Y-2155

with ~2A per port * 10 ports! (only problem, it looks like a spaghetti monster on the kitchen bench)

Cheers

Lee

The item I posted is 2.1a PER port. I checked it with Jackson in Australia and confirmed it ourselves physically.

Pretty much what we use, slowly replacing those cheap and nasty multiport USB chargers with the Anker one, they are great.

Really love the Qi charging pads as well, so easy to just put your phone on it and walk away, no fiddling with cables etc.
