Everyone must have someone that is famous or well known in their family(doesn't have to be immediate family)... who do you have?

Hmmm... One of my ancestors was Captain John Grono, who named (English) most of the South Island including Milford Sound.

To answer my own question,

There are a couple in my family - Boyd Webb a pretty well known photographer and Tui St George Tucker a composer.
Also one of my relations was the only person in NZ to paint on cobwebs, but not sure if she was well known.

I thought of one - not exactly famous, but I had a great step uncle who was captured at the fall of Singapore by the Japs and forced to work on the Burma railway before being moved to a POW camp on mainland Japan and then being liberated by the Americans.

He actually ended up moving to NZ a few years after the war ended.
