Driving into work this morning on the great southern parking lot (otherwise known as SH1 to those outside of Auckland) I found myself cruising along next to, what I believe, is the biggest tosser-mobile known to man - a yellow lamborghini.

If ever I was to spend 500k on a single vehicle it certainly wouldn't be on this nauseatingly pretentious monument to the penile challenged. I'd probably find it hard to justify spending that much on one car anyway, but if I absolutely had to..... a black Vanquish with black leather interior.

Can I get an Amen!!!!

So which are you - the pretentious businessman, or the drug dealing gangsta? (If the latter, you will require 22" chrome rims).

It is a nice car, but the only people I have seen drive one fit into the above two categories!

For $500k I would have a $100k Holden with about $80k of modifications, and a $320k Aston/Merc/Bentley etc

edit: And of course the jab at Brucie should be accompanied by a

If it's disposable extra, I'd chuck it into a computer and a direct link to the Southern Cross Cable sans Telecom.

I'd buy another old MR2 and drop a Suprcharged V6 Toyota in the back and invest the rest.

Maybe it's not such a bad idea actually? hmmmm... I saw a video of a suped up MRS-MR2 wasting a lambo before, and I know that one was beaten by a cheap mitzi evo on top gear.

Here is your solution people.......

If I were to have the money it'd have to be a Ferrari F430 spider. I have my lil model one from shell at least...

*Drools*

But hey if someone has that much money to spend on a car, and a yellow lamborghini makes them happy, then good on him or herself.

But I agree, It would have to be the Vanguish for me to!

Coincidently there's a story in the paper about it this week:

http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominionpost/4246334a6479.html while it's there

"Three expensive "green" cars being trialled as VIP government limousines have been judged unsuitable for the job – for reasons including that they are too difficult to get out of.

Two $70,000 Chrysler 300 CRDs, two $76,000 Peugeot 607s and two $60,000 Skoda Superbs – all diesel- powered and more fuel-efficient than the current fleet – were bought by the VIP transport service this year. But feedback from users found them all deficient in one way or another, said Internal Affairs senior procurement adviser Mike Patterson."

The article then finishes off with instructions on how a woman wearing a skirt/dress with no underwear should get out of a car.

amen brother!  A black vanquish - oh yeah!

saw something similar in Bangkok a few years ago.  If you know Bangkok - it floods during monsoon due to a) heavy rain and b) the city is only 1 meter above sea level. Anyway - this guy was in a ferrari 355. He's speeding down a small street - spraying water over everyone (not nice). I can see him up ahead as I'm on the same street driving in the opposite direction.....in a Toyota Landcruiser.  Just as he gets to the deepest part of the street - I speed up and the bow wave passes right over the top of his car.  Last I saw of him in the rear view mirror the car had stalled (might have gotten some water on the electrics or worse still - sucked some water into the motor). Shame about the car.
