Anyone enabled this yet? It just popped up in my settings a few days ago - successfully set it up in Leopard Mail but having a few issues with my IMAP setup from my ISP (namely some weird folders being created and some workflow issues)
Funny you should mention, set this up yesterday morning through google apps, then spent the rest of the day (and this morning so far) uploading e-mail - which goes back many years. Looking good so far.
Yeah...I love it but something screwy's going on when I check email using my ISP's webmail (Sent and Trash folders are duplicated)...<shrug> Guess I'll have to get in touch with them about it.
Can GMAIL be used as a 'push' email service - i.e if my mail client supports the IMAP IDLE protocol? Not sure how it works...whether Gmail servers are set up for it...etc
Gmail got in a little too late for me. I am using it only as a backup.
I already have a quarter-terabyte IMAP mailbox sitting on my domain.
Synced 9000 emails from my main gmail account already, and waiting for 2 other gmail accounts to get IMAP to sync them too. Then I can replicate all my mail on my domain into Gmail as their storage grows.
This sure beats the first 200KB mailbox I had all those years ago!
