Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection available for pre-order on Amazon Instant video now... Possibly waiting for the individual movies to be available for rental (which may be never) - in which case the price is not bad.

Watched Episodes IV, V and VI many times, but I've only watched Episodes I, II and III once each and wouldn't mind watching again - but not sure I want to buy these...

I'm never buying another Star Wars bundle until they release the non-Special Editions in HD.

Have Blu-Rays, not too sure why people would buy these if they have Blu-Ray. Have them on digital also using Blu-Ray and MakeMKV.

I don't want to sully my eyes or brain with the Jar Jar Binks era movies ever again! Never parting with a brass farthing for those.

The three Star Wars movies are awesome. Yep, there was only ever three made. Definitely not 6.

So much this.

I have them on Blu-ray, probably the fourth time I've purchased the movies, would still rather watch my 80s VHS (if I could) as those are the only ones that are the original theatrical cuts.

Really hoping Disney release the original cuts in HD, they'd sell millions. I wonder if they can though?

Ah well, there is always Harmys 'Despecialised' editions I suppose. Anyone actually seen any of those?

There are those of us that still have VCRs and have the setup to record and convert VCR tapes.

I purchased the DVD boxed set of IV, V, VI when they were first released back in 2005 I think it was. LucasDisneyCorp ain't getting any more cash out of me.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I feel the same way. I have replaced my memory of the prequels with Belated Media's "What if Episode 1 was good" and "What if episode 2 was good" videos.

As far as I'm concerned, this is what actually happened in those movies and no one can tell me otherwise.

Basically just a post about the same deal in the OP. All services will have it - Amazon Instant Video, XBOX, iTunes, etc.

I've got the original trilogy on DVD in the "Limited Edition" collection.  The first DVD in each case is the Special Edition version (with the cleaned up film and the extra special effects and scenes added in the 1990s).  However the second DVD in the case is the "original theatrical release" with no added footage or special effects.  These are the discs we watch whenever we re-watch the original trilogy.  It's not HD, but it's still perfectly watchable, and much less hassle than VHS or grainy transfers...
