Hi I don't know if this is the place to post this.
Does anyone know if the Gigaset C 610AIP phone is a discontinued model? I ordered a couple from EBay and after they didn't turn up I contacted the supplier who replied that one had been damaged and that they are now a discontinued line and are now not able to supply. If they are discontinued what is the replacement model?

Be careful buying DECT products from ebay. You may find the radio spectrum man on your doorstep to tell you you're using a licenced band and need to stop using them.

Possibly why it didnt turn up. I know that customs are on the look out for other things that..... cause interference..... with the cellular network.

They use the same numbers on things but in different countries they have different frequency use. Stupid manufacturers just confusing people.

In hongkong I wouldn't expect people to be bringing technology from the US, but there were many signs all thru the customs area about dect 6.0 being illegal with rather large money amounts mentioned.

This was from EBay Australia. The Aussie seller said the phones were compatable with those in NZ. However as they didn't turn up on time as  stated I contacted him. $187 AUD was what I paid and when contacted he said one was damaged in transport and that as they are a discounted model he was not able to replace it and that a refund had been sent to Pay Pal. The reason I (attempted ) was delivery was much sooner than from a local NZ supplier and the Aussie $ and NZ $ are close
