The Verge is reporting that users of the popular Chrome unblocking extension Hola are having their [idle resource] bandwidth sold to third parties. These third parties can buy bandwidth in bulk and use it engage in any activity they like, such as DOS attacks. Do you use Hola, and if so were you actually aware this is how they operate?

I was a moderate Hola user until a couple of weeks ago after reading similar stories on forums and Reddit. It freaked me out a bit as I wasn't aware of the potential damage the extension could cause. Also saw Mauricio's post yesterday on here, definitely something people should be aware of.

Using dns4me now, worth paying for and have peace of mind now
