Hi all,

We're running a trial project to get old laptops out of IT storage cupboards and into the hands of students.

In a nutshell....

- Donate us your Windows XP era laptops
- We'll re-image them with a lite version of Ubuntu Linux & the Chrome browser and donate it to a needy student.

Details here:

Thanks :-)

Gotta say, you'll be lucky to find any laptops of that era still working...

Especially the batteries!

Anyway, good luck with your project.

I'm not sure about you, but I service PLENTY of them.

Laptops work fine, but almost always I hear "Oh the battery works, but only for a minute".  Haha.  Like an inefficient UPS instead of a power source!
