The Warehouse has just started to sell a new range of shelving units.

Industrial design - clip together - no nuts and bolts - man-cave stuff.

Good prices this week.

I bought some.

I looked at the packaging.

It shows a picture of the shelving unit with an assortment of stuff on it.

Half of the items pictured on the shelves are the right way round.

The other half are mirror images.

What? It was too hard to get a shelf and put some actual stuff on it and take a photo, so they had to photoshop a load of stuff onto the shelves.

And then they could not even bother to get the images the right way round.

Nah, it amuses me 'cos I have a sense of humor.

I only get surprised by real weird stuff like once a year when I see a BMW that actually stops on the white line at traffic lights rather than 2 metres beyond.

There are many of those clip together shelving systems now. Back when I was shelving up the shed there was only a couple of overpriced ones so wasted ages making inflexible non adjustable wood and particle board shelves. Damnit.

They generally do all the branding themselves, or at least OK it before ordering, so there is a good chance that they can be blamed for this.

All those fake brands they carry are ones they have made up to put on things.

I'm an advertising graphic designer for a bunch of newspapers and magazines and I'm routinely asked by either managers or clients to add dumb things in at the eleventh hour. Stuff I won't put my name to. It happens.
